Community Service
The People's Pantry in Great Barrington is open on Thursday mornings to provide food to anyone in South County who is in need. CAS members donate current dated, un-opened non-perishable food and toiletry items when they come to shul, and once every seven weeks a CAS team works at the Pantry. Everyone can help by donating food, money or volunteering your time. Volunteers work a two hour shift and find that it is the most gratifying two hours of
the month. The Pantry is located at Saint James Place, which was its original home at the church. The food pantry’s relocation to downtown Great Barrington, steps from a major bus route, has made it more accessible for those who lack transportation.
